Chicken - Stewing Hen - Organic

Certified Organic, pasture-raised chickens that were previously our egg laying hens for 12-16 months. Perfect for your family booyah, stew, and chili recipe. They have all the nutrition of good pasture-raised chickens. Or maybe it's time to make your own nutritious chicken bone broth.

Due to their age, these birds require long and slow, moist cooking to make them more tender and delicious. These are not ideal for roasting.

We are partnering with a Certified Organic poultry producer to meet the demands of our customers for pasture raised chicken. We visit all farms that we partner with to make sure they live up to our standards of Certified Organic farming, the highest animal health and welfare, and premium meat quality. This chicken is packed with the nutrition of dense grass and legume pastures and fed a supplemental diet of organic grain.
